Shandis Events Crew is an events and youth empowerment organisation based in Taung, North West, South Africa. We are passionate about creating safe, inspiring and culturally rich experiences that bring communities together and unlock the potential of young people.
Our home, Greater Taung Local Municipality, is internationally recognised as the Cradle of Mankind following the discovery of the Taung Child fossil. Yet while rural communities are often overlooked, we see Taung as a place filled with promise, creativity and untapped brilliance.
Through innovative events and development programmes, we provide young people with opportunities to discover their talents, build confidence and proudly embrace their identity.
We believe African children are born into stories, rhythm, colour and creativity. From an early age, they dance before they walk and sing before they speak.
Our mission is to protect that magic, nurture it and transform it into something powerful.

The Taung Kids Festival is our flagship event and the heartbeat of our organisation. It is a joyful celebration created to bring children, families and communities together in a space filled with laughter, learning and unforgettable memories.
